Bonjour a tout le monde!
I am writing a research paper on Jeunet's two most famous masterpieces, Delicatessen and Amelie. I am trying to discuss the use of surrealism in both movies - how a magic of sorts is used in the cinematography and what kind of effect that has on it's audience? Have any of you also seen Delicatessen? If not, and you liked Amelie, I highly recommend renting it. Be warned however, that you are not in for another Amelie. Delicatessen is grossly different, but if you appreciate the surrealism in Amelie, I think you will enjoy watching it if you can have an open mind. As far as I know, it is still only available on VHS here in the US. Anyway, if any of you have any ideas or suggestions - please let me know.
